America is the top country for bullying. It’s one of the biggest problems. Bullying is not just pushing someone around in school. Cyber bullying has become an issue too. 43% are cyber bullied. This is just as big due to teenagers constantly being on technology. Cyber bullying is when a person verbally abuses another person over a text or email. Although, it’s not just verbal abuse that kids are doing online. They could also be humiliated or harassed by a person they know or even one they don’t know.
77% of student are bullied. When being bullied it can be physically, mentally, or verbally. 1 out of 5 students admit to being bullied. Once the issue becomes bigger, students start to miss school to avoid their bully. Bullying has many effects. These include depression, anxiety, health complaints, and lowered grades. For a concerned parent, the first step would be going to the school’s principal. Sometimes the school has no reason to do a thing. This could be from no evidence or even a child saying something to an adult. Schools sometimes do all they can. Many schools have an anti bullying rule. Although, this might not even help. Everyday there is a person being bullied. Sometimes we or the student don’t realize it. Bullies are used to not getting penalized. If we were to compliment each other instead of talking down about a person, bullying wouldn’t be as big of a problem as it is. Bullying is a danger to some students. Being pushed too much can make a child go insane. Sometimes bullying is just the start, but it can also be the end. Bullying comes with a price. The price could be a life or a life’s mental state.
